Emerging scientist program

The Emerging Scientists Program offers a distinctive virtual research opportunity for highly curious and motivated high school students. Participants have the chance to independently explore a specific research topic and present their findings. The goal of the program is to provide early exposure to careers in scientific research. 

Additionally, a select group of students will be invited to UCLA for a lab tour and to present their findings in person to the project scientists. However, the program primarily operates online; the in-person day is optional, available only to those invited and able to attend. All participants who complete the program will receive a certificate from the lab, acknowledging their work. 

This opportunity is open to rising sophomores through rising seniors, with a preference for juniors and seniors. No prior research experience is required.
